"The Shoreline Question"
The sky wore hues of blushing gold,As evening's breath grew soft and bold.The tide, it whispered low and sweet,While foamy waves kissed sandy feet.
Barefoot hearts on shifting shore,Two shadows danced, then paused once more.You turned to me with eyes so wide,As sea and sky stood still, star-eyed.
A velvet box in trembling hands,The hush of dusk, the wind’s commands.No need for grandeur, speech, or stage,Just ocean's song and love uncaged.
“I love you more than tides can show,More than the moon pulls undertow.Will you,” you asked, “walk life with me,From sandy shores to stormy sea?”
And as the stars began to gleam,I said, “Yes,” like a waking dream.The ocean clapped, the moon looked on—A promise made, a new life drawn.
