This policy stands for all of my outdoor on location sessions. If it rains, your session will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the next available time we have open while you are still in the area. Booking your session to take place during the  first few days of your trip will allow room for rescheduling if needed. Weather along the coast can change quickly, so final decisions are usually made within 2 hours before your session. Cloudy skies are often beautiful and provide soft, flattering light.

In order to create images like you see in my portfolio, your beach session must take place the evening at "Golden Hour" or Sunrise. I will confirm the exact starting time as we get closer to your scheduled date, because the nights get longer and sun set times changes. The sun will not be in the background due to it setting in the West, but rest assure we get immaculate rich colorful sunsets here.

 

Sunrise Sessions: The sun comes up over the ocean from the East and it's boasting in such a glorious way in all of your images. Some perks to sunrise is less windy, less people on the beach. You can plan for this section to go Fast, so timing is very important and plan to start roughly between 5:55 AM and 6:20 AM depending on the month.

Typical summer sunrise times:

• Early June: around 6:05 AM

• Late June (near summer solstice): around 6:00 AM

• July: around 6:10 AM

• August: around 6:25–6:45 AM

For photographers, the best golden hour light usually starts about 20–30 minutes after sunrise, giving you that soft dreamy glow perfect for beach portraits and senior sessions.

You will have the option to order prints and products from us inside of your private online gallery of final images. The rates are very reasonable, your online gallery will be available for 8 weeks for you to download and order. After your gallery expires there is a $20 fee to re-post it online. We will provide you with a print release letter so that you may print where you desire. However we are not responsible for their print quality as it may vary. Please see this BLOG POST I wrote to learn why.  The gallery lab is one I have full confidence in and know that you will get the best possible prints to represent your investment.

 I photograph in digital raw and then hand edit all images for contrast, color, clarity, etc. before processing them into jpeg files suitable for printing and sharing. These are small tweaks to the images to make them look even better than they did in the camera. I edit ALL images that you see in your gallery. Retouch/photoshop work on your images is not included in the package prices. These services can be ordered once you review your final images at a charge of $15 per file depending on what you'd like done. We will retouch/photoshop a few of our favorite images before we share them on social media for your sneak peek, at no charge. Retouching includes fixing stray hair, head swaps, removing distractions from backgrounds, thinning of body, changing colors of clothing, etc.
