Some moments are so beautiful that they feel like they belong in a movie, and Jordan and Mariah's surprise proposal was exactly one of those moments.

As a photographer, I have the privilege of witnessing some of life's most meaningful milestones, but this proposal was truly something special. Jordan reached out to me with a vision to create an unforgettable surprise for Mariah, and I was absolutely honored that he trusted me to capture such an important chapter in their love story.

The setting could not have been more perfect. Overlooking the ocean from the balcony of Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, Jordan created one of the most romantic proposal setups I have ever seen. The space was beautifully decorated with flowers, seashells, and thoughtful details that reflected their love story. Surrounded by the support and excitement of family, every element came together perfectly.

And then there was the sunset.

After more than two decades of photographing couples along the Grand Strand, I can honestly say this was one of the most breathtaking proposal locations and sunsets I have ever experienced in Myrtle Beach. The sky exploded with vibrant shades of pink, orange, gold, and purple, creating a colorful backdrop that felt almost unreal. The ocean reflected every beautiful color as the sun dipped below the horizon, making the entire evening feel magical.

When Jordan got down on one knee, the emotion was undeniable. Mariah's surprise, joy, and excitement lit up the entire balcony. Family members watched with happy tears, and the love surrounding these two was impossible to miss. These are the moments that remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
